1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") outline the expectations, responsibilities, and policies between Chase Brothers LLC ("we," "our," or "us") and you ("Client"). By hiring us to perform landscaping or property maintenance services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

Chase Brothers LLC provides a variety of landscaping and maintenance services, including but not limited to:

  • Lawn mowing and trimming

  • Seasonal cleanups (spring and fall)

  • Mulching and bed maintenance

  • Shrub and tree pruning

  • Light Excavation

  • Light hardscaping (e.g., stone edging, paver installation)

  • Snow removal

The specific scope of work will be outlined in your estimate or invoice.

3. Scheduling and Property Access

We strive to maintain a reliable service schedule. However, appointments may be adjusted due to weather, holidays, or other unforeseen events. Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing safe and clear access to the property

  • Ensuring gates are unlocked and pets are secured

  • Clearing toys, furniture, or other items from the work area

If we cannot access the property, we may need to skip or reschedule the service.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due as outlined in your invoice or service agreement. Unless otherwise arranged:

  • One-time jobs: Payment is due upon completion

  • Recurring services: Billed weekly or monthly

We accept payments via check, cash, debit/credit card, and bank transfer.

If you ever have a concern with your invoice, we encourage you to contact us so we can resolve it promptly.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. Clients are encouraged to give us as much notice as possible for cancellations or rescheduling. We do not charge cancellation fees.

In the event of inclement weather or other scheduling issues, we will communicate promptly and reschedule services as soon as possible.

6. Property Damage and Liability

We take care to protect your property. If damage occurs due to our direct actions, we will work with you to repair or resolve the issue fairly.

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing property damage

  • Hidden or underground hazards (e.g., irrigation lines, electrical wiring, septic covers)

  • Unsafe conditions or obstacles beyond our control

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and job expectations

  • Maintain a safe and accessible work area

  • Communicate clearly with us about any specific concerns or requests

8. Use of Photos

We may take before-and-after photos of completed work for promotional use (such as our website or social media). These photos will never include personal identifying information without permission.

If you prefer not to have photos of your property used, just let us know.

9. Independent Contractor Status

Chase Brothers LLC operates as an independent contractor. These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, or employer-employee relationship between the Client and Chase Brothers LLC, its owners, or its workers.

10. Public Conduct and Communication

Clients agree not to post or share false, misleading, or defamatory statements about Chase Brothers LLC, its services, or its owners in any public forum, including social media, websites, or review platforms.

We are committed to professionalism and resolving concerns in good faith. If an issue arises, we ask that clients contact us directly to allow for resolution.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Chase Brothers LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the service in question.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate ongoing services at any time with notice. The Client will be responsible for payment for all services completed up to the termination date.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes shall be handled in the courts of York County, Maine.
